Meet Rob & Debbie Roy

How long have you two been married?

April will be 27 wonderful years. We can say blended marriage is very difficult in the beginning But oh so worth it in the long run. God has been so good to us in so many ways and we look forward to many more of His future blessings.

•It has not always been perfect, but it has always been worth it. Our unconditional love for each other outweighs the flaws we both have. We made a vow of trust to each other no matter what and to never go to bed mad at each other. (Now there was several times that didn't happen so great in the beginning of our marriage) but the longer you work on it the better it gets. We Don't go to bed mad at each other Now!

How long have you been members of Christ Church?

May, 2022, will be 10 years. The 1st year we attended, the youth had just came back from (maybe the Ramp). Anyways, they had pretty much taken over the service. Coming from a conservative Baptist Church, we were a little overwhelmed with the "loudness" of everything. We were also a little concerned that the Pastor never seemed to preach. So, we actually asked him if this church preaches the Word (LOL), not realizing it was Youth service. We had never experienced the Holy Spirit taking over as to where the Word didn't "have" to preached at that moment. We will never go back to "old" way of worshipping.

Is there anything in particular feelings about Christ Church?

We love the Pastor, his wife, the people, and the love they have for others. It truly "welcomes" you just as you are, without trying to change you. They allow God to do the changing.

What are your favorite scriptures?

Rob - Philippians 4:13

Debbie - Philippians 4:8, 1 Corinthians 10:13, & Psalm 126:5

Here are some snap shots graciously provided by The Roys, to share the beautiful & cool things they have witnessed while traveling around the U.S.
